For printing businesses

The day your machine stops, your customer calls the next printer.

He does not always call you back. Print quality stopped being the thing that separates 2 printers in the same city. Availability is the thing. Axis sells DTF, TPU label, embroidery and flocking machines and backs them 2 ways: a live engineer on phone or video during working hours, so the first fix starts the minute you call, and an engineer at your address in 24 to 48 hours when it needs hands on the machine. Your uptime is the product you are actually selling.

Orders got smaller. Designs got more. The dates got shorter. Everyone who decorates fabric in India is being asked to do the same work in smaller lots, with more design changes, on tighter dates, at last year's price. Most floors are running equipment that was built for the opposite of that.

What does Axis DTF supply to a printing business?

Axis Enterprises supplies DTF printers, TPU and PU label printers, digital embroidery machines and flocking printing machines to printing businesses across India, priced from 3 lakh to 16 lakh depending on print width and head count. For a job work printer the relevant numbers are uptime and consumable supply, not brochure speed. Axis runs a 48-person service team across 11 cities and dispatches an engineer in 24 to 48 hours, same day or next day in metro and tier 1 cities. Print heads, ink, film and powder are stocked in India. Every installed machine gets a WhatsApp group where the operator sends a daily nozzle test, so a clogged head is caught before it becomes a stopped machine.

What it costs when the line stops

What does a stopped machine actually cost a printer?

4 costs. Only the first one is measured in hours.

COST 1

The account

A customer who waited 3 days for a reprint has now met another printer, seen his work, and saved his number. You lost a job. You may have lost the next 40.

COST 2

The morning

White ink settles, a head clogs, and the first 2 hours of the shift go to maintenance instead of production. 3 times a week is 24 production hours a month, gone.

COST 3

The small job

A 12-piece order carries the same purge, the same film waste and the same operator hour as a 200-piece order. Your cost per piece is set by the machine's behaviour, not the customer's quantity.

COST 4

The season

November to February is when the volume arrives. A machine that is fine in June is a business risk in December, because in December there is no spare day to wait for a part.

Where the market is going

Is the shift to short runs permanent?

The published numbers say yes. Demand is growing faster than the average floor is adding capacity, and the growth is arriving in small lots.

USD 2.7 billion

Global direct to film printing market in 2024, forecast to reach USD 3.9 billion by 2030 at a 6.0% CAGR, according to Grand View Research.

9.75% CAGR

India's custom t-shirt printing market grew to USD 176.6 million in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 407.9 million by 2034, per IMARC Group.

USD 225 billion

India's domestic textile and apparel market in 2025, projected at USD 350 billion by 2030, with over 45 million people employed in the sector, per IBEF, February 2026.

A market compounding at 9.75% a year while your capacity stays flat does not wait for you. The volume goes to whoever can answer first, and it usually stays there.

Useful whether you buy from us or not

How should a printer cost a DTF job per piece?

Most printers quote on ink and film and lose money on the other 5 lines. Fill your own numbers into this list before you set a rate card.

1. InkGrams of CMYK plus white per square metre at the pass setting you actually run, not at peak pass.
2. Film and powderFilm metres per job including the lead-in and the trim. Powder consumed and powder lost.
3. Purge and startupThe ink you spend before the first saleable print of the day. This is a fixed cost per shift, so it hits small jobs hardest.
4. Operator hourThe full hour, including the load, the press and the peel. A 12-piece job is rarely 12 pieces of labour.
5. PowerA 600 mm printer with a shaker can pull 7000W at 35A. At 2 shifts, that is a real line on the sheet.
6. Downtime allowanceDivide your expected annual downtime hours across your annual output. If you do not price it, your customer does not pay for it.
7. RejectionYour own error rate, honestly counted. Reprints come out of margin, never out of the quote.

How should a printing business compare 2 machine quotes?

In this order. Price is number 8, and by then it usually decides itself.

1. Hours to an engineerAsk 2 things in writing. Can I get a live engineer on phone or video the same hour, and how many hours to an engineer at my address? Our answer: live support in working hours, on site in 24 to 48 hours.
2. Print head in stock todayIs a replacement head sitting in India right now, or does it ship from China after your head fails?
3. Consumable price after month 3Who supplies ink, film and powder next year, and at what price? A cheap machine on expensive ink is an expensive machine.
4. Real output at production passPeak sqm per hour is quoted at the fastest pass. Ask for the figure at the pass setting that matches the quality you sell.
5. Head model and countAsk for the head model name and quantity. Head model sets both speed and the cost of the day it fails.
6. Power and floor pointConfirm the electrical point and the floor area before delivery, not after the truck arrives.
7. Sampling before the balanceWill they print your design on your material at your quality setting before you release the final payment?
The part nobody else prices in

What happens the day the machine stops?

Support starts on the call, not on the visit. Ring us in working hours and an engineer takes your operator through it live, on phone or on video, while the machine is in front of him. Most stoppages clear on that call. When it needs hands on the machine, an engineer travels: 24 to 48 hours, same day or next day in metro and tier 1 cities, up to 3 days for remote locations, from a team of 48 people across 11 cities.

01

Live phone and video support

Call in working hours and an engineer diagnoses it with you on the spot, over phone or video. For a unit with a shipment tomorrow, even 24 hours is too long to wait, so the first fix attempt happens now.

02

Engineer on site in 24 to 48 hours

For anything the call cannot fix. Same or next day in metro and tier 1 cities. Up to 3 days remote. 48 people across 11 cities.

03

Daily nozzle test on WhatsApp

Your operator sends a nozzle test to our group every morning. We catch a clogged head before it becomes a stopped machine.

04

Sampling before handover

We install the machine and run your own designs on your own material, so you see the real output before you sign off.

05

Spares and consumables in India

Ink, film, powder, heads and spare parts stay in stock here. Buying the machine in India means you can keep running it in India.

06

One team for every machine

DTF, TPU label, embroidery and flocking are all supported by the same engineers on the same terms. You do not chase 4 suppliers.

Questions buyers like you ask us

What is the best DTF printer for a job work printing business in India?

Match head count to your peak day, not your average day. A 600 mm 6-head line running 27 sqm per hour at 4 pass covers most job printers running a single shift with headroom for a season. If your peak is under 10 sqm a day, a narrower machine keeps your capital free. Send us your busiest week's output and we will name the model, including the one that would be too big for you.

What does a DTF printer cost in India?

Our garment printing range runs from 3 lakh to 16 lakh. Price moves with print width and head count. A 600 mm 6-head DTF line with an automatic shaker sits at the top of that band. Ask for the quote with the delivery time and the loan document list in the same reply.

What happens if my print head fails?

Call us first. In working hours an engineer gets on phone or video with your operator and diagnoses it live, which settles a large share of faults without anybody travelling. Heads, ink, film and powder stay in stock in India, and if it needs a physical replacement an engineer reaches you in 24 to 48 hours, same day or next day in metro and tier 1 cities and up to 3 days for remote locations. The reason we run a 48-person service team across 11 cities is that a printer with a dead machine is not a printer.

Can I run 2 shifts on one DTF machine?

Yes, and printers with steady volume do. 2 shifts change 3 things: your daily maintenance routine becomes non-negotiable, your consumable order cycle shortens, and your downtime cost doubles per hour. Plan the maintenance slot into the shift change before you plan the second shift.

Can I see the machine running before I buy?

Come to our Ludhiana office for a live demo, or send your own garment and artwork and ask for a sample print. Buyers from Surat, Delhi and Kolkata have done both before ordering.

Ask for price and a sample print

Our sales team calls you back with the price, the delivery time and the document list your bank asks for.

Or send the same details on WhatsApp to 8872188721 and get the reply on that chat.

Send us your busiest week's output.

We name the machine that carries it, the delivery time, and the model you should not buy.
